Build a school culture of gratitude and appreciation

Any student or staff member can send a gratitude message to anyone in the school community — up to three times a day. Senders earn a point for every message they send, and all messages pass through a profanity filter to keep the wall safe and kind.

Anyone can celebrate anyone

Any student or staff member can send a gratitude message to any other student or teacher in the school. Messages go directly to the recipient's wall the moment they're sent.

  • Open to all students and staff — not just teachers
  • Search for any student or teacher by name as the recipient
  • Limited to 3 messages per day to keep posts meaningful
  • Senders earn +1 point for every gratitude message sent

Every message is automatically screened

All messages pass through a profanity filter before delivery. If a message is flagged, it's blocked from being sent and the attempted message is surfaced to admin for potential follow-up — keeping students accountable while protecting the recipient.

  • Inline warning in the compose panel prevents accidental sends
  • Blocked messages are logged and flagged for admin review
  • Admin can see who attempted to send what, for timely follow-up
  • Keeps the wall genuinely kind without requiring manual moderation

Four steps to a culture of kindness

01
Write a kind message

Any student or staff member searches for a recipient — a classmate or teacher — and writes a short gratitude message (up to 300 characters).

02
Profanity filter screens it

Every message passes through the profanity filter before it's sent. Inappropriate language is blocked, and the attempted message is flagged for admin review.

03
Recipient sees it on their wall

Approved messages appear instantly on the recipient's personal Gratitude Wall — a colourful grid of kind words they can scroll back through any time.

04
Sender earns a point

The sender earns +1 point for each message sent — rewarding kindness directly. Up to 3 messages can be sent per day, keeping posts intentional.
